fan-led review

Wolves 1877 Trust welcomes the government’s decision to seek implementation of all 10 key recommendations included on the Tracey Crouch Fan-led Review of Football Governance.

The recommendations include an Independent Regulator, improved owners’ and directors’ test, shadow boards and a ‘Golden Share’.

The Golden Share gives supporter groups the ability to veto on several key decisions, including whether to sell the club’s stadium, and other key heritage items, such as statues, club colours and team badge.

With discussions still ongoing around ground redevelopment, or relocation, at Molineux, the Trust sees this as an important step in ensuring the club enter meaningful consultation with the Trust, and supporters, before final decisions are made.

The Trust look forward to further strengthening our dialogue with the club including regular meetings with senior management, we also see it as an important step in the development of the Trust.

We would encourage all supporters with an interest in ensuring the cultural heritage of our club to join the Trust.
