Growing our membership – Wolves 1877 Trust

There are now over 140 supporters’ trusts across England, Wales and Scotland; Wolves 1877 Trust was formed in 2021 with the aim of representing supporters’ views in dialogue with the club.

Trust representatives are now active within the club’s Fan Engagement Groups covering areas including Matchday Experience, Ticketing, Retail and Diversity. We have regular meetings with the club’s Fan Services Manager and hold our own Trust meetings throughout the season.

As affiliate members of the Football Supporters’ Association (FSA), we have been actively engaged in the Fan-led Review of Governance within Football and are now in discussions regarding the introduction of the Premier League Fan Engagement Standard.

Supporter Trusts are an important part of protecting the legacy and heritage of football clubs, there are many examples of clubs where the trust has intervened in a time of crisis; most recently Swindon Town Supporters’ Trust has become an integral part of the consortium purchasing the stadium.

Whilst Wolves have strong owners in Fosun, we only have to look up the road at our near neighbours to see how quickly things can unravel. It’s often said that players, managers, and owners will come and go but supporters are there forever.

We need to grow our membership to strengthen our voice both with the club and at a national level, if you believe that supporter representation is important then please consider joining Wolves 1877 Trust, a not-for-profit community benefit society formed under Football Supporters’ Association guidelines.

One Pack, Together Stronger.
