Wolves 1877 Trust - Ticket Pricing
Wolves 1877 Trust reminds the club of promises it made last summer and calls for a standstill on ticket concession pricing for season ticket holders and a review of match day pricing.
Following last summer’s coordinated campaign against ticket price increases and a season of empty seats at Molineux, the Wolves 1877 Trust is calling for the club to stick to the promises it made to supporters in June 2024 and expand this commitment to concessions.
At an emergency meeting with the Fan Advisory Board last year, of which the Trust is a statutory member, the following was agreed:
1. A guaranteed freeze on adult season ticket prices for the 2025/26 season.
2. No price increase for under-14s for the 2024/25 season.
3. The pricing strategy and structure of junior season tickets will be reviewed for the 2025/2026 season, in consultation with the FAB.
Attendances at Molineux have reflected both the increase in ticket prices and another poor season on the pitch, with tickets for almost every home game going to general sale. At this point in the season, it looks like Wolves will finish below every other established Premier League club that club officials ‘benchmarked’ ticket prices against last summer.
Off the field, early discussions have already been held regarding ticket pricing for the 2025/26 season and Trust Chair Daniel Warren raised the matter with senior club officials at a meeting in March.
Whilst the club underlined a commitment to freeze adult season tickets there is a concern among Trust members and wider supporters that the officials will look to increase concession ticket prices.
Trust Chair Daniel Warren has warned that any move to extract more money from fans will be poorly received by a fanbase already feeling disenchanted with the club.
“The Trust is clear that no supporter, whatever age, or physical ability should be paying any increase against the current ticket prices, whether that be as season ticket holders or through general admission.
“We’re now urging the club to extend its promises to all season ticket holders and announce a season ticket price freeze in all categories alongside a commitment to review match day pricing.
We want the club to engage with the Fan Advisory Board, enabling meaningful discussions about how they can ensure Molineux is full for every match. We also want to see a strong commitment made to encourage young supporters to attend matches through attractive pricing packages. We have the cheapest under 14 tickets in the League and that's something Wolves should be proud of as a challenger brand.
“The club felt the wrath of fans last summer and we want next season to get off to a more harmonious start, giving Vitor and the team the best chance of thriving. Trying to wring a few more pounds out of hard-pressed fans is not the way forward. Before this season ends, we want the club to stick to the spirit of the promises it made last season and commit to a standstill on pricing so that supporters can enjoy their summer and budget for next season.”
