wolves 1877 trust praises wolves for fa cup ticket prices
The Wolves 1877 Trust would like to praise the club for its ticket pricing policy for FA Cup games held at Molineux this year. Tickets for adult season ticket holders were on sale for £15 and were available to other adult fans for £18.00. Concession prices ranged from £6-12.
Back in the summer the Trust was concerned about rising season ticket prices and a change to the loyalty point scheme which meant Wolves most loyal members wouldn’t be given priority for home games without paying a higher membership fee. We would like to put on record our praise for the club when they do the right thing.
Wolves 1877 Trust Vice Chair Daniel Warren Said “This policy has been successful for the club, we had 27,000+ for the Sheffield United game and a sell out for Norwich this weekend. At a time of rising inflation and family budgets being tight, the pricing policy for the FA Cup games so far should be welcomed”
“Wolves have a great heritage in the FA Cup having won the cup on four occasions and in recent times getting to Wembley in 2019. Many season ticket holders don’t take up their option of a cup ticket and cup games offer an opportunity for other Wolves fans to attend games. It's important that these games remain affordable”.
Wolves ticket prices compare favorably to otherfourth round ties with only Huddersfield Town(Championship) and Southampton and Man City selling tickets cheaper. Bournemouth fans are being charged £15 to watch their side play Boreham Wood of the Conference. Meanwhile,National League North side Kidderminster Harriers are charging between £31 and £38 for their game with West Ham. Manchester United are charging Middlesbrough fans £45 for their game on Saturday which has been widelycriticised, and Chelsea are charging fans £30.00 to watch their side take on Plymouth Argyle.
The trust Vice Chairman Daniel Warren has recently joined the club's Fans' Forum on Ticketing. The Wolves 1877 Trust want to engage with theclub in positive dialogue regarding ticket pricing and represent the views of Wolves fans from across the UK and abroad.
